I earned a Master’s degree in Biochemistry from West Virginia University and, in the process, found that writing my thesis was my favorite part of the whole project. After spending eight years working in the biological laboratory, I began to copyedit as a volunteer for a non-profit organization and a church. I am very often praised for my attention to detail and sought after to copyedit their written materials. My specialization is copyediting scientific theses, dissertations, grant proposals and research papers, but I also do excellent work with promotional material for all types of organizations. When not reading or writing, I enjoy traveling.

I am a member of the Editorial Freelancers Association (EFA), the American Copy Editors Society (ACES) and the National Association of Independent Writers and Editors (NAIWE).
